After our final breakfast at the wonderful Santa Maria Health Spa, we reloaded the coasters (coaches) with our 1980kg of luggage and started our journey to the Equator. On arrival we were greeted with an authentic Ugandan lunch with dishes such as matoke, cassava and posho. Both groups were introduced to the art of bartering for African arts and crafts, which support the local communities. The boys were looking fly in their traditional colourful batik shirts and the girls looking equally good in their flamboyantly fabulous harem trousers. It was at this point in our adventure the Red and Gold teams parted and said our emotional goodbyes.
